Raphael Dwamena is only second to Nigeria’s Moses Simon as the player with the least amount of minutes for Levante in La Liga this season.

The Ghanaian international arrived at the club with a lot of promise following his signing from Swiss side FC Zurich for 6 million Euros last summer.

But has failed to hit the ground running and after after slipping down the pecking order in the striking department.

The 23-year-old is enduring a frustrating time at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia, having made only three appearances (a combined total of 58minutes) in the Spanish La Liga - all substitute outings - since transferring from Swiss side FC Zurich in the summer.

His limited playing time at club has had a toll on his international career, having been overlooked by Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah since a disappointing performance against Kenya in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in September.

With opportunities far and few between, there have been rumours that the centre-forward could be headed for the exit, possibly on loan.

But despite the Ghanaian's difficult start to his career in Spain, manager Paco Lopez believes in Dwamena's potential and has reiterated the club will keep the striker.
