The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has participated in an exclusive breakfast meeting organised by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) for chief executives and major stakeholders within Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.

The meeting brought together industry leaders, regulators and government officials to deliberate on policy reforms, operational challenges and strategies aimed at strengthening the downstream petroleum industry.

Addressing participants, Mr Jinapor commended stakeholders for their continued cooperation with government and their contribution to maintaining stability and growth within the sector.

According to the Minister, the engagement demonstrated a collective commitment among industry players to build a more resilient, efficient and forward-looking downstream petroleum industry capable of supporting Ghana’s broader economic transformation agenda.

He reaffirmed government’s readiness to collaborate closely with stakeholders to implement reforms targeted at improving operational efficiency, sustainability and long-term growth across the petroleum value chain.

The meeting forms part of broader efforts by the National Petroleum Authority to deepen stakeholder engagement and enhance collaboration within Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry.

Government believes stronger coordination between regulators and private sector operators will be essential in improving energy security, enhancing regulatory efficiency and positioning the downstream petroleum sector as a major contributor to national economic growth.
