ERFA Salutes GFA leadership after U19 Championship Triumph

The Eastern Regional Football Association (ERFA) has praised GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and the Executive Council for their visionary leadership and commitment to youth development, following Eastern Region’s landmark win in the maiden MTN Elite U19 Championship.
Eastern Region edged Brong Ahafo Region 4–2 on penalties in a dramatic final at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, marking a proud milestone in their youth football journey.
“This remarkable achievement is a direct reflection of the GFA President’s visionary initiative, Power to the Youth, which continues to empower young footballers across the country,” said ERFA Chairman Lindford Boadu Asamoah.
ERFA also extended gratitude to the Planning and Organising Committee, commending their role in delivering a well-structured and impactful tournament.
The association emphasized that the GFA’s youth-focused strategy is motivating regional bodies nationwide to build sustainable talent pathways and expand grassroots opportunities.
