EXCLUSIVE: Prince Oduro Mensah set to be named new NSA boss; Joe Kpenge to lose seat
Prince Oduro Mensah is in pole position to replace Joe Kpenge as National Sports Authority (NSA) boss ghanaguardian.com can exclusively reveal.
Mr. Oduro Mensah who served in that position in 2006 after passing an interview by the Public Service Commission (PSC) looks set to reoccupy the position at the expense of Mr Kpenge who occupied the seat sometime in 2014.
According to reports, as part of major changes being made by the New Patriotic Party administration, the National Sports Authority has been hit and Mr Oduro Mensah is in line to recapture the (NSA) top seat he is very familiar with.
The former Member of Parliament for Techiman South was made NSA boss under the Kufuor-led administration in 2006 and seems to have impressed enough to earn the trust of ex-president Kufuor’s successors.
He was asked to step aside for Wolanyo Agra in April 2009 generating controversy among some NSA workers who later called for his re-instatement.
Oduro-Mensah, a native of Techiman is a product of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the Winneba Collage of Education where he pursued a degree and diploma programmes in Social Science and English Education respectively.
