Family of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Briefs Speaker Bagbin on Final Funeral Arrangements

The family of the late Kwadwo Safo, led by the head of the Kantanka family, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has officially informed Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, of the final funeral arrangements for the renowned industrialist, inventor and religious leader.

The delegation, comprising family members and church leaders, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker to present details of the burial and funeral programme for the founder of the Kantanka Group and the Kristo Asafo Mission.

According to the family, the burial service will be held on July 30, 2026, at Gomoa Mpota. A state-scale funeral service is scheduled for July 31, 2026, at Independence Square, while a second memorial service will be held a week later at Heroes Park.

During the meeting, Speaker Bagbin paid tribute to the late Apostle Safo, describing him as a remarkable figure whose contributions to religion, technology, agriculture, philanthropy and national development left a lasting impact on Ghana.

He praised the late innovator for dedicating his life to improving society through faith, industrialisation and community development, noting that his achievements would continue to inspire future generations.

The Speaker also commended the church for establishing a museum in honour of Apostle Safo, describing it as a fitting tribute to a man whose creativity and vision contributed significantly to Ghana’s development.

“The nation has lost a rare gem,” Bagbin said, while assuring the family of Parliament’s support and participation in the funeral activities.

The family expressed gratitude for the Speaker’s warm reception and called on Ghanaians to join them in celebrating the life and legacy of Apostle Kwadwo Safo, whose influence continues to resonate across multiple sectors of society.
