FBI arrests Ghanaian MP in alleged US$32m financial crime investigation — Report

The Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, has been detained by Dutch authorities.
His arrest, according to reports, is part of an investigation connected to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Sources close to the matter say the MP is facing allegations of financial crimes, including money laundering.
The Ghanaian MP is also being suspected of romance scams, involving an estimated $32 million.
Investigations are ongoing.
