A disagreement is reportedly brewing between Danish club FC Nordsjælland and the Ghana Football Association over the availability of highly-rated Ghanaian youngster Prince Amoako for Ghana’s upcoming international friendly against Mexico.

Sources close to the situation indicate that FC Nordsjælland are reluctant to release the talented forward for the fixture, raising concerns within the Ghana FA as preparations continue ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Prince Amoako, regarded as one of Ghana’s emerging football prospects, has attracted attention with his rapid development in Denmark. His performances at club level have reportedly placed him firmly on the radar of the national team coaching staff, who are eager to assess him ahead of future competitive assignments.

However, the Danish side are believed to be prioritising the player’s commitments at club level, with concerns over scheduling and fitness said to be central to the ongoing discussions.

The friendly against Mexico is expected to serve as an important test for Ghana as the Black Stars continue to rebuild and evaluate new talents ahead of upcoming World Cup.

Neither FC Nordsjælland nor the Ghana FA has officially commented on the reported standoff, but discussions are understood to be ongoing as both parties seek a resolution before the match.
