Ghanaian boxer Richard Oblitey Commey has sent congratulatory message to American Teofimo Lopez following the latter’s victory over Vasyl Lomachenko in a grueling bout at the MGN Grand Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Lopez saw off Lomachenko via a unanimous decision to annex all four recognized belts in the Lightweight division(135kg), making him the undisputed champion of the world.

The American who defeated Ghana’s Commey for the IBF title early this year, unified the WBA, WBO and WBC titles from Lomachenko.

In a tweet, Commey summed up the Lopez’s heroics, claiming that no one can take that achievement from the 23-year old boxer.

“Congratulations to Teofimo Lopez by becoming the undisputed lightweight champion of the world,” Richard Commey tweeted.

“He did it the correct way and the hard way, beating me a champion and then @VasylLomachenko a unified champion, no one can take that achievement away from him and at just 23” the Ghanaian boxer added.
