I will be actively involved in transforming Ghana’s transport sector- Dorcas Affo-Toffey

Deputy Minister-designate for Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has pledged her unwavering commitment to supporting the substantive Minister in achieving a safe, efficient, and well-functioning transport system in Ghana.
Speaking before Parliament’s Appointments Committee, the Member of Parliament for Jomoro emphasised her readiness to play an active, hands-on role in the Ministry, stating that she will not be a passive figure.
According to the MP, she is determined to be fully engaged in both the day-to-day operations and the strategic direction of the Ministry to help implement policies that will enhance the sector’s overall performance.
Mrs. Affo-Toffey also highlighted the issue of gender representation in the transport sector, acknowledging the current underrepresentation of women and describing it as a significant gap that requires urgent attention.
She expressed her intention to work towards increasing the participation of women in various roles within the transport sector, including technical, operational, and leadership positions.
