This International Award Winning Sacred Heart Cathedral Church In Kericho Is Truly A Masterpiece

I’m loving how high-rise buildings and state-of-the-art architectural masterpieces are coming up in all corners of the country!

One such brilliant masterpiece is the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Kericho. Lead by Bishop Emmanuel Okombo, the cathedral is as a result of funding from an anonymous foreign donor. The diocese appointed Britain-based architects John McAslan + Partners to come up with the design- the concept being to create a sacred place, using innovative local materials, where faithfuls can congregate.

The construction of the church was completed in December 2015 and it’s truly a work of art. Overlooking the green countryside views of Kericho, the work and effort put in is evident; from the striking elongated roofing to the breathtaking interiors.

It’s no secret that the architects had an eye for detail and it’s no wonder that the team at John McAslan + Partners won the British Construction Industry Awards-Judges ‘Special Award’ for their brilliant work on the Sacred Heart Cathedral Kericho.
