Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil has been named in the Major League Soccer Team of the Week for Week 28, following an outstanding performance for LA Galaxy.

Paintsil, who joined LA Galaxy in February, played a crucial role in their 3-2 victory over Portland Timbers.

The 26-year-old notched a goal and provided two assists, contributing significantly to his team's success.

He assisted Ruqui Puig with the opening goal, set up Gabriel Pec for the second, and scored the decisive goal on the hour mark, propelling LA Galaxy to the top of the Western Conference standings.

Joining Paintsil in the Team of the Week are notable players such as former Barcelona defender Jordi Alba of Inter Miami, Toronto’s Richie Laryea, and Iuri Tavares of Charlotte FC.

Other players featured include Dániel Gazdag of Philadelphia Union, Cole Bassett of Colorado Rapids, Stian Gregersen of Atlanta, Griffin Dorsey of Houston, and goalkeeper Roman Bürki, along with Dennis Bouanga of LAFC.
