Liberia’s Lone Stars touch down in Accra for showdown with Ghana’s Black Stars
In the early hours of the morning, at precisely 4:30 am, the Liberian national football team, known as the Lone Stars, made their arrival in Accra.
Their journey to the Ghanaian capital was facilitated by Royal Air Maroc Airlines.
The purpose of their visit? An eagerly anticipated international friendly match against Ghana’s Black Stars scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 4 pm, set to take place at the iconic Accra Sports Stadium.
While the Ghanaian side secured their place in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire with a hard-fought victory over the Central African Republic, emerging triumphant with a scoreline of 2-1, the story was different for Liberia.
