An exciting clash is on the horizon as Mohammed Kudus, representing Ghana, prepares to face his West Ham teammate Edson Alvarez, who will play for Mexico in an international friendly in Charlotte, USA, on Saturday.

Kudus and Alvarez have been teammates since their days with Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam.

Both players made the move to West Ham in the summer transfer window, with Alvarez being the first to join the London-based club.

This match will mark the first time in their young careers that Kudus and Alvarez will compete against each other, wearing opposing jerseys.

Mexico’s coach, Jaime Lozano, has called up 26 players for the upcoming match, including the legendary goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.

While Mexico is using these games as part of their preparations for the Copa America qualifiers, the Black Stars of Ghana are also getting ready for the World Cup qualifiers next month and the Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be held in Ivory Coast next year.

Kudus and Alvarez have both enjoyed a promising start to their careers in England, with the Ghanaian playmaker recently scoring his first English Premier League goal against Newcastle United, showcasing their talent on the global stage.
