Mystery Surrounds Death of Nurse Trainee Found Dead in Kwadaso Home

Police have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a nurse trainee, Vincent Amo Amponsah, whose body was discovered inside his residence at Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region under circumstances that have left his family searching for answers.

According to relatives and residents, Vincent is believed to have died nearly three days before his lifeless body was found lying in the hall of his home.

Following preliminary police procedures, his body was released to the family on Saturday, July 18, and has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigations.

The exact cause of death remains unknown, and police have yet to identify or arrest any suspect in connection with the case.

The discovery has, however, raised several questions. Family members said a sponge was found tied around the deceased’s neck, while his tongue was protruding when the body was found.

Relatives have rejected suggestions that Vincent may have taken his own life, arguing that there was no beam, hook or any structure inside the room that could have been used for a hanging.

They also pointed to what they described as bloodstains on the walls of the hall, insisting the circumstances warrant a detailed forensic investigation to determine what truly happened.

Investigators have retrieved two mobile phones belonging to the deceased from the scene. The devices, which were reportedly switched off when they were found, have been taken into police custody for forensic examination.

The family has also dismissed reports linking Vincent to the sale of mobile phones. According to a relative, the phones belonged to his brother, who lives abroad and had asked Vincent to sell them on his behalf.

They insist the phones had already been sold long before the incident, describing claims that he was a phone dealer as misleading.

Police say investigations are ongoing, with forensic and medical examinations expected to play a key role in establishing the cause of death.

Meanwhile, the bereaved family and residents of Kwadaso are urging investigators to leave no stone unturned and ensure anyone found responsible is brought to justice.
