NPP poster protest shows panic, they will lose all 19 polls— Kalamu Musah

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ablekuma North, Kalamu Adamu Musah, has rejected accusations from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the display of National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign posters near a polling station in Odorkor, describing the complaint as politically motivated and a sign of anticipated defeat.
The NPP had raised concerns over the presence of posters bearing the image of NDC parliamentary candidate Ewurabena Aubynn close to the Church of Pentecost polling centre, alleging it could influence voters unfairly ahead of the constituency’s highly anticipated rerun.
However, Mr. Musah, a member of the ruling NDC, dismissed the objection as groundless and said both parties have had campaign materials across the constituency for weeks without issue.
“These are posters that were not done today. They have been done for over a week,” the MCE said. “It is not only peculiar to the NDC. Maybe one party’s own may outnumber the other. It is normal.”
He added that both parties had mounted campaign materials throughout the constituency, and the timing of the NPP’s complaint appeared politically motivated.
“I think it is one of their tactics. This is the same people who said they will not take part in the election, but you are seeing them taking part. So why will you trust the NPP?” he questioned.
Mr. Musah further accused the NPP of preemptively making excuses to cover up an anticipated loss in the rerun.
“They are just giving excuses. They are seeing the signs. They are very clear. They are losing all the 19 polling stations. I can assure you on that, ” he said.
