Pray we qualify for 2022 World Cup and you’ll all enjoy – Kurt Okraku tells clubs

President of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) Kurt Okraku has told clubs in Ghana that they should pray that Ghana qualifies for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
If their prayer comes to fruition all clubs in the country will hugely benefit from the appearance fee that is given to each federation.
Whiles campaigning for the GFA Presidential elections in October 2019, the then Executive Chairman of Dreams FC promised clubs that should he be voted for as the GFA President he will give them a percentage of monies handed national teams who qualifies for the mundial.
During his four day tour in the Bono and Ahafo Regions, he reiterated this call to give clubs a share of the World Cup funds and urged them to pray Ghana qualifies.
Ghana has been drawn in a group which comprises South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia for the initial stages of the qualifiers.
“In the build up to the GFA elections, I made a promise that all clubs will benefit from any money that we get from our participation at the FIFA World Cup,and I still stand by it,” he told the gathering.
“We shall be starting the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in June and so I entreat all of you to pray for the Black Stars to qualify and every club will benefit from the financial benefit of the World Cup,” he added.
The GFA President and members of the Executive Council are currently on a four day tour of the Bono, Ahafo and Northern Regions.
This tour is to help curb the incessant hooliganism being experienced in our game especially in the Division One League Zone 1.
