U23 AFCON: Emmanuel Lomotey Rallies Support For Black Meteors Ahead Of Tricky Duel With South Africa

Black Meteors midfielder, Emmanuel Lomotey has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the team as they take on South Africa in the third place playoffs in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday, November 22.

The Black Meteors failed to beat Ivory Coast in the semifinals to secure automatic qualification to the Olympic Games but Lomotey says he is pretty sure the team can qualify ahead of South Africa in the third place clash.

Speaking to Koforidua based Bryt FM ahead of the make or Break encounter  with the Young Bafana Bafana, Lomotey said this the time the need the support of every Ghanaian.

“I will plead with Ghanaians to pray for the team and I’m sure we will be victorious after regulation time”, the former Dreams FC enforcer said.

“This is the time we need Ghanaians most, so they should pray for us because its being 15 years now Ghana has failed to qualify for Olympics” he added.

Ghana will have a final chance to book a ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games when thy take on South Africa in the third place playoffs on Friday.
