The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency, Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has donated sewing machines to some 100 dressmakers in the area.
The beneficiaries are graduates from the Ghana National Dressmaker and Tailor Association (GNDTA) - Nsawam Chapter.
Hon. Annoh-Dompreh who doubles as the Majority Chief Whip has pledged his financial and material support for the artisans in the area to be able to start their own businesses after successfully passing out.
The MP believes the Technical Vocational Education and Training Concept provides knowledge and skills in the formal, non-formal and informal learning sectors which is a crucial for social equity, inclusion and sustainable development.
At the presentation ceremony over the weekends, the MP promised to develop their skills training center to put their training to a better standard.
He also pledged his unwavering support to the Association.
The beneficiaries also expressed their profound gratitude to the MP for his kind gesture.
