Disturbing reports have emerged from the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency, where the Constituency Youth Organiser, Kwadu Sam, together with bodyguards linked to former MP George Mireku Duker, are alleged to have attacked party social media activist Francis Kwakye Amprofi during the submission of his polling station election forms last Friday.

According to eyewitness accounts, one of the bodyguards, identified as Sani, confronted Kwakye over claims of alleged criticism directed at him and the former MP. When Kwakye reportedly demanded evidence, tensions escalated rapidly. Moments later, as the party communicator stepped out, the situation intensified.

It is alleged that upon entering the premises, the Youth Organiser verbally assaulted Kwakye, describing him as politically irrelevant. Shortly after, two individuals, identified as Sani and another bodyguard known as Adiaba, reportedly began physically assaulting him. Slapping him and pushing him to the ground. In the course of the attack, the well built Sani allegedly attempted to grab an object to strike the lanky Kwakye, while the Youth Organiser is said to have joined in the aggression.

The victim was eventually rescued by bystanders and rushed away from the scene.

The incident has since been reported to the Ghana Police Service, and Kwakye is currently receiving medical treatment. As of now, no arrests have been made, raising serious concerns about accountability and the safety of party members amid the ongoing electoral process.

This development has heightened tensions within the constituency, with growing calls for swift investigation and decisive action.
