Boakye has enjoyed an impressive start to the 2025/26 campaign, contributing consistently in attack for the former Ligue 1 giants. He has been in blistering form with his side, making a huge statement on his comeback after his campaign got derailed by injuries last season, going a long way to affect the team's performances and having them get demoted to the French second tier side, Ligue 2.
The 24-year old former West African Football Academy midfielder is on a great renaissance this season, notching two goals and registering three assists this season, making it a whopping five goal involvements in five league games for AS Saint Etienne in the French Ligue 2 this season.
The Ghanaian’s creativity and goal threat continue to make him a standout performer in Ligue 2, and his form will no doubt please Black Stars head coach Otto Addo with World Cup qualifiers on the horizon.
