Ghana’s U-20 women’s team, the Black Princesses, will face a stern test at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after being drawn in Group C alongside France, Korea Republic and Ecuador.

The tournament, which will be hosted in Poland from 5 to 27 September 2026, marks Ghana’s eighth appearance at the global showpiece.

The Black Princesses, one of Africa’s most consistent representatives at youth level, will be aiming to make a strong impact against some of the world’s top emerging sides.

France head into the competition as one of the favourites, while Korea Republic bring vast experience at youth tournaments. Ecuador, meanwhile, are expected to provide another tough challenge in what many observers see as a highly competitive group.

Ghana secured qualification after an impressive campaign in the African qualifiers and will now look to build on previous World Cup experiences as they chase a historic run in Poland.

The draw has already generated excitement among Ghanaian football fans, with hopes high that the Black Princesses can progress beyond the group stage and make the nation proud on the world stage.

The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup continues to serve as a platform for the next generation of stars in women’s football, and the Black Princesses will be eager to showcase their talent when the tournament kicks off in September.
