Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah says the Black Queens are highly motivated and united ahead of their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Egypt, set to take place in Suez on October 23, 2025.

The 2024 WAFCON bronze medalists wrapped up final preparations in Ismailia on Wednesday under head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren, marking their first match since finishing third at the continental tournament in Morocco.

“It’s been good to see everyone’s face again… we’ve had some good sessions,” Boye-Hlorkah told Ghanafa.org.
“Fans can expect good energy, determination, and the togetherness we built at AFCON.”

Boye-Hlorkah, who switched nationalities to represent Ghana, signed with Nottingham Forest in the summer following her standout AFCON performance. The 30-year-old forward has already scored two goals in the Women’s Super League 2 in England after already helping London Lionesses to glory before switching to Nottingham Forest Women.

Her experience and form will be key as Ghana aims to secure qualification for WAFCON 2026, with the return leg set for Sunday in Accra.
