Former Black Stars Management Committee Chairman Yaw Boateng Gyan says that C.K Akunnor is not fit to coach the senior men’s national team as the team is bigger than him.

Coach of the Black Stars C.K Akonnor has come under incessant pressure following Ghana’s poor showing in their two matches with a limp display in a 1-0 win over Ethiopia while South Africa also inflicted a 1-0 defeated on Ghana.

Ghana picked three points out of a possible six points after beating Ethiopia and losing to a spirited South African side at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Since the defeat the competence of Black Stars coach C.K Akonnor has been called into question by many Ghanaians with most people calling for the head of Akonnor.

According to the former NDC Organizer C.K Akonnor should admit that the Black Stars job is bigger than him and resign for his own sake.

“In my opinion CK Akonnor should do the honorable thing and resign”.

“We have a lot of talents in the country but the way we appoint coaches and select players is the problem. We equally have good coaches in the country who can replace CK Akonnor.

“CK Akonnor should realize that the job is bigger than him and resign”, he added.

The GFA will in the coming days decide the fate of the embattled trainer who has struggled to convince he can handle the Black Stars.
