Former Kotoko defender Samuel Frimpong heading to Medeama
Former Asante Kotoko defender Samuel Frimpong is heading to Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC.
The defender has been axed from Kumasi Asante Kotoko after being deemed surplus to requirements ahead of the new season.
He is among eight casualties who have been axed from the club following the appointment of new gaffer Prosper Nartey Ogum.
Frimpong has mutually parted ways with Kumasi Asante Kotoko after joining the club from lower tier side Bekwai Youth Football Association(BYFA).
The player has been in advanced talks with Medeama SC for some time now with the parties close to reaching a three year contract.
He was an understudy to first choice right back Christopher Nettey at right full back but has been let go by the club.
Frimpong joined Kotoko from Division One League side BYFA but was sent out on loan to Karela in 2019.
