Stephen Frimpong Manso will take charge of Nations FC for the first time in a competitive fixture when his side visits Bechem United in a Week 8 Ghana Premier League showdown on Friday.

The former Gold Stars boss, who led the Miners to last season’s GPL title, returns to familiar territory — having already defeated Bechem 2–1 in the season opener while at Duns Park.

“Bechem is one of the difficult centres… to win there, you need to work above yourself,” Frimpong Manso told Nations FC TV.

Frimpong Manso emphasized the need for defensive discipline and mental resilience, noting that many of his players have experience at Bechem, but must now elevate their performance to secure points.

“It’s about defending well with the ball… I have an idea about their team.”

Nations FC forward Emmanuel Annor echoed the coach’s confidence:

“Preparations are going on well… the players’ mentality is to get the needed victory.”

With both teams under pressure, Bechem will be desperate to climb out of the drop zone, while Nations FC aim to kickstart the Frimpong Manso era with a statement result.
