Gov’t not aware of car gift to new Yaa Naa- Oppong Nkrumah
Some matters arising after the coronation of the new overlord of the Dagbon kingdom in the Northern region indocates that President Akufo Addo had gifted the Yaa Naa a new car.
Speaking to the Press however, Yaa Naa Mahama Abukari had stated that, a close friend of his, who he did not disclose had given him a customized saloon Jaguar after his crowning on Friday January 25 2018.
The Information Minister, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah while speaking on Accra based radio station on Monday January 28 stated that, he is not aware that the President had gifted the new overlord of the the Dagbon a car.
He said, “I have no information on such issue” when asked about the car.
Yaa Naa Mama Abukari was crowned the new Overlord of the Dagbon kingdom after the throne had been vacant for 17 years after the old Yaa Naa Yakubu Andani II was assassinated in 2002.
