Former Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has praised his players and technical staff for their determination and commitment after the club secured a third-place finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians endured a difficult start to the campaign, including a shock early exit from the MTN FA Cup following defeat to lower-tier side True Life FC. The setback raised concerns about the club’s prospects, but Hearts gradually found their footing and produced improved performances as the season progressed.

Despite showing signs of growth, inconsistent results at home ultimately hindered the club’s ambitions of mounting a sustained challenge for the league title. Nevertheless, Hearts finished the campaign among the top three teams in the country, a result Dramani believes reflects the character and resilience of the squad.

Speaking to Asempa FM, the experienced coach described the achievement as a collective success.

“Considering the challenges we faced and where we started, our third-place finish in the Ghana Premier League was a job well done by the team,” he said.

Dramani acknowledged that expectations were high at the beginning of the season but credited the players for remaining focused and united throughout a demanding campaign.

He reserved special praise for the squad, noting that their willingness to embrace the team’s philosophy and work ethic played a key role in overcoming the obstacles they encountered during the season.

The former Black Stars assistant coach also highlighted the contribution of the club’s technical and backroom staff, insisting that the positive outcome was the result of a united effort rather than the work of any one individual.

According to Dramani, Hearts of Oak’s ability to recover from early setbacks and finish strongly demonstrates the spirit within the club and provides a solid foundation for future success.

After a season marked by challenges and adversity, Hearts of Oak ended their campaign on a positive note, with their third-place finish serving as a reward for the perseverance shown by players and staff alike.
