Having no wife is not a crime – Stephen Amoah

Nhyiaeso Member of Parliament, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has downplayed public interest in his marital status, saying there is nothing unusual about being unmarried.
Speaking during an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, the legislator reacted sharply after the host asked why he is never seen on campaign trails with a wife.
“I don’t have a wife. Must everyone have one? Why embarrass me on live radio? Is it wrong not to be married?” he responded.
He went on to address reports suggesting he had described himself as “lonely,” insisting the comment was misinterpreted.
“What I meant was that in my private space I am often by myself. Many people who get close to me are surprised to see how quiet and calm I am. I usually spend time reading, studying, or working on politics. But in public I am very social and lively,” he explained.
Dr. Amoah emphasized that his reference to loneliness was strictly about his personal life and had nothing to do with his political activities or public image.
