Hearts of Oak owner Togbe Afede IV elected president of National House of Chiefs

Hearts of Oak owner Togbe Afede IV has been elected president of the National House of Chiefs at Thursday’s elections.

The paramount chief of the Asogli state polled 25 votes to succeed the Wulugu Naba Pugansoa Naa Professor John S. Nabila who has ended his term of office.

Awulae Attibrukusu III, the Omanhene of Lower Axim and outgoing vice president of the house, came close but polled 11 votes.

Okyehene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin had 10 votes while Essikado chief Nana Kobina Nketiah V had three votes.
