I sell coconut in branded cups to pay my school fees – Ghanaian student

By Nana Prekoh Eric August 13, 2018

A Ghanaian student seems to inspire many, especially young entrepreneurs.

The student cum entrepreneur whose name was only given as Danigenious says he sells coconut in branded cups; and the idea is not for any profit gains but rather, to get more customers so he could raise some money to pay his school fees.

It is immediately not known which school he attends but the young entrepreneur was spotted on the road side by TV3’s anchor, Alfred Ocansey  after closing from church on Sunday.

As touching and inspiring as his story is, Alfred Ocansey posted a photo of himself and Danigenious on Facebook, and subsequently got him interviewed on TV3’s program “Business focus” as a ‘young entrepreneur of the week’.

Read fully what Alfred Ocansey posted on Facebook after meeting Danigenious:

BE A BLESSING IN LITTLE WAYS..

I met this young man after church selling coconut with so much joy I couldn’t resist the temptation..
I drew closer, asked how much and he said gh2.50.. This is the normal price for coconut, I mean those who sell in a wheel barrow, and some times you tend to get worried about hygiene.
Guess what, this teenager has his own branded plastic cup, pours the contents into the cup, and adds a straw to it, all at the same price of what you get from the wheel barrow coconut sellers.
I got curious and asked him why he is selling at the same price although he is clearly incurring additional cost, and his answer was “Boss am not focusing on profit right now”.

He is doing this to raise money to go to school.
I got him interviewed on TV3’s program “Business focus” which I host, as our young entrepreneur of the week. Folks he is DANIGENIOUS.. Kindly look out for him when in town, around east legon, bawaleshie, and it’s environs..

NB:Folks, he says he can even do large orders for your events at no extra cost… phone number: 0275 287694
