Ernest Thompson-Quartey, a former coach of Ebusua Dwarfs and AshantiGold SC, has expressed his interest in the vacant coaching position at Hearts of Oak football club.

With his extensive experience in the local game, Thompson-Quartey believes he is the ideal candidate for the role and has officially applied for the position.

Having been in charge of several clubs in the local scene, Thompson-Quartey is well-acquainted with the intricacies of Ghanaian football.

His most recent coaching spell was with AshantiGold SC, where he joined in November 2021. However, he did not complete the 2021/2022 season with the club, parting ways during his tenure.

In a recent interview, Thompson-Quartey confidently stated that he has submitted his application for the vacant coaching position at Hearts of Oak, firmly believing that he is the best person to serve the club.

His optimism shines through as he envisions leading the team to success in the upcoming season.

“Hearts of Oak is a club that I hold a strong interest in, and I have formally applied for the coaching job. I firmly believe that I possess the qualities to serve the club,” expressed Thompson-Quartey.

Hearts of Oak have been without a permanent coach since Serbian coach Slavko Matic departed in the middle of the previous season, and they are actively seeking a new coach.

Additionally, their interim coach, David Ocloo, recently resigned from his assistant coaching role, further emphasizing the urgency of filling the coaching staff at the club.

Thompson-Quartey presents himself as a viable option to take on the coaching responsibilities at Hearts of Oak, leveraging his experience, enthusiasm, and vision to guide the team towards success in the future.
