Kassim Mingle appointed head coach of Black Galaxies

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed the appointment of Kassim Mingle Ocansey, head coach of Nations FC, as the new manager of the Black Galaxies, Ghana’s senior B national team.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, September 10, as part of efforts to revive the team’s fortunes following their failure to qualify for the last African Nations Championship (CHAN), where Ghana lost 3-0 on aggregate to Nigeria.
“The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Kassim Ocansey Mingle as the new Head Coach of the Black Galaxies, Ghana’s CHAN Team,” a statement from the GFA read.
Mingle, a former Bechem United coach, will be supported by an experienced backroom staff:
Samuel Boadu (Berekum Chelsea head coach) – Assistant Coach
Godwin Attram (ex-Ghana international & Attram Di Visser coach) – Assistant Coach
Stephen Ahorlu (ex-international, Heart of Lions) – Goalkeepers’ Trainer
Henry Martey (former Black Stars Team Manager) – Welfare Officer
Justice Kofi Mensah & Francis Ofori – Kit Managers
The GFA hopes the new technical team will steer the Black Galaxies back to continental prominence and restore Ghana’s presence at CHAN tournaments.
