League leaders Aduana Stars held by basement club Kotoku Royals

On Monday, Aduana FC, the league leaders, struggled to secure a 1-1 draw against Kotoku Royals, who are currently in the bottom position, at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
Aduana FC had the chance to extend their lead at the top of the table after Medeama SC’s defeat to Nsoatreman FC on Sunday.
However, despite their efforts to gain points and widen the gap with second-placed Bechem United, who beat FC Samartex, the Ogya lads were unable to capitalize on this opportunity.
Kotoku Royals, who have been performing well since moving from Cape Coast to Dawu, aimed to continue their impressive run against the leaders.
Unfortunately, they were held at home for the third consecutive time. In the 71st minute, Isaac Mintah scored for Aduana FC to take the lead, but in injury time, Prince Dogbe equalized for Kotoku Royals, much to the disappointment of Aduana FC.
With this draw, Aduana Stars now have 51 points and are still at the summit with three points separating them and second-placed Bechem United, while Kotoku Royals remain at the bottom of the table with 23 points.
