NSA Director-General Felix Gyamfi reassigned to Ministry of Finance

Felix Gyamfi, the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect.
The move comes less than seven months after his appointment in January 2025, prompting questions about the sudden change within public sector circles.
Although no official statement has been made, sources within the Jubilee House suggest that Gyamfi’s reassignment is part of a broader government reshuffle designed to align key personnel with the administration’s economic priorities.
Sources indicate that delays in posting new National Service Personnel, following an audit of the NSA’s online portal, contributed to the decision.
Reports indicate that a disagreement between Mr. Gyamfi and the Minister for Youth Development, George Opare Addo, played a role. The Minister reportedly advocated for the development of a completely new deployment portal to fix existing issues, while Gyamfi preferred refining the current system.
Mr. Gyamfi’s reassignment leaves the NSA without a substantive head at a critical juncture, as the agency prepares for the upcoming round of national service postings across the country.
