Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari was on target as Austin FC secured a dramatic 2-1 extra-time victory over Minnesota United on Wednesday night to book their place in the US Open Cup final.

Bukari opened the scoring right on the stroke of half-time, showcasing his trademark pace and composure. He burst past his marker down the right flank, cut into the box, and fired a low drive that slipped beyond the Minnesota goalkeeper.

The hosts, however, clawed their way back in the 67th minute when Pereyra curled home a brilliant free-kick to restore parity.

With the clash seemingly heading to penalties, Austin FC delivered late drama — grabbing the decisive winner in the dying moments of extra-time to seal a famous away victory.

Bukari’s performance once again underlined his growing influence since joining the MLS side, and his goal proved crucial in sending Austin into the club’s first-ever US Open Cup final.

Osman has now notched two goals and registered one assist in four games of the 2025 US Open Cup for FC Austin.
