More than 61,000 candidates drawn from technical and vocational institutions nationwide are preparing to take part in this year’s Certificate II examinations, the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training has announced.

The Commission’s Director-General, Zakaria Sulemana, revealed the candidate figure at a press briefing held on Monday, stating that the necessary logistical and administrative arrangements have been finalised to ensure the examinations are conducted in an orderly and credible manner.

Mr. Sulemana used the occasion to issue a firm warning against any form of examination malpractice, emphasising that such conduct would not be condoned under any circumstances. He called on invigilators and supervisors deployed across examination centres to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity throughout the process.

The Certificate II examinations serve as a critical milestone within Ghana’s TVET certification framework, evaluating the technical and vocational proficiencies of students either seeking to advance within the system or transition into the workforce.

The Commission expressed confidence that this year’s exercise would meet the expected benchmarks of fairness and transparency.
