In a significant development for Ghana’s football landscape, the football application Socaloca has been officially launched to bolster the marketability of players, especially within the domestic scene.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the UDS Guest House in Accra and conducted in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association, marked a pivotal moment for player visibility and connectivity in the industry.
Socaloca caters to male and female players aged eight and above, providing a platform to showcase their statistics, profiles, and comprehensive information, including real-time starting line-ups.
This innovative approach aims to amplify players’ visibility, enhance their market value, and facilitate direct connections between potential buyers and sellers.
During the launch event, CEO and Founder of Socaloca, Lionel Foy, highlighted the app’s capabilities, emphasizing its role in empowering clubs to monitor player progress effectively.
“Clubs can track the development of their core players and easily list those available for transfer on a dedicated marketplace,” Foy explained.
“Our goal is to enable clubs to capitalize on their football passion by generating revenue through player transactions.”
The app also features video upload functionalities, enabling players to showcase their skills dynamically.
Available for download on both iOS and Android platforms, Socaloca represents a forward-thinking tool poised to reshape how football talent is scouted, managed, and traded in Ghana’s vibrant football ecosystem.
With its comprehensive features and strategic partnerships, Socaloca promises to usher in a new era of transparency, efficiency, and profitability in Ghanaian football, benefitting players, clubs, and stakeholders alike.
