Stop being cruel on your people; they need you, not your money – Omane Acheampong to politicians

Renowned gospel musician, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, has scolded politicians to stop being cruel on their own people.
According to him, most of the politicians prevent the masses from coming onto contact with them, an act he described as “wickedness”.
Nicho, as he is affectionately called, made the comment when he attended the One-Week observation of the former Chief Executive officer (CEO) of the late Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John at Sakora Wonoo in the Kwabere East District of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
Eulogizing the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Forestry Commission of Ghana, the sensational gospel act posited that, unlike Sir John, some of the politicians could be very inhumane on the very people whose efforts pushed them to the positions they occupy today.
“Some of them could be very cruel and wicked. They ran away or swerve you whenever they see you approaching. They have this notion that you are coming to beg for money when in the actual sense, that may not be the case. But unlike, ‘wofa’ [referring to Sir John], he never prevented us from coming to him. He opened his door for us even in the events of intrusion”, he said.
He, however, advised Ghanaian politicians to ponder over the death of the former NPP General Secretary and begging to show love and respect to humanity.
“Now that ‘wofa’ is nowhere to be found, what shall we do? He has left behind his cars and everything. So even if Sir John who did all manner of good deeds to his people is gone, what will happen to you the wicked one? I urge you all to have some kind of attention for your people the same way Sir John used to do”, he berated.
