Urvan bus runs into crowd at Roman Hill injuring five people

A Nissan urvan mini bus with registration number AS 6403 Y has run into a densely populated area of the brisk Roman Hill a popularly trade hub in Kumasi injuring several persons severely.

The driver could not start his engine so wanted to use the sloppy roman hill to start his car which is a common practice among most commercial bus drivers who have faults starting their car engines.

While descending the hill the driver lost control of the vehicle slamming into a crowd of traders and on lookers severely injuring most of them.

According to eyewitnesses several persons were trapped under the vehicle but what helped the car stop was one of the victims who was a very fat lady and served as a brake for the vehicle before on-lookers pulled the victims mostly women from under the vehicle.

The five persons who are seriously injured have been sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) where they are currently receiving treatment.
