We had to build the structures at Kotoko – Kwadwo Boateng Genfi

It is exactly one year since His Royal Majesty, Otumfour Osei Tutu II appointed a new 12 member board for his club Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The board was made up of 12 distinguished, eminent persons who have in their sphere of life achieved a lot for themselves and their careers.
One year one, the board has done a lot for the growth of Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko.
A member of the board, Mr Kwadwo Boateng Genfi has been speaking with Kumasi based Oyerepa FM what they have done so far after 12 months since their appointment.
He says they had to build the structures of the club as there was a lot of things wrong with the structures while also trying to build a winsome side on the pitch.
“When we came there was no proper structures in place so we decided to build the structure and in everything you do if the foundation is not strong the building will be weak.”
“So we had to lay the foundation but as you know with our Kotoko there are a lot of interest groups and as you try to build the foundation you also have to be in a hurry to do it as there is also pressure as it is said Kotoko is not an ordinary team.”
“As you build the structures people do not have patience so u must do it side by side and so with COVID-19 and all I think there were challenges but we have been able to surmount them.”
