Yusif Basigi appointed Ghana Women’s Team B head coach

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Yusif Basigi as the new head coach of the senior female team B, a strategic move aimed at enhancing technical leadership and deepening the development pipeline in women’s football.
Basigi, 53, brings a wealth of experience both domestically and continentally, having previously managed the Black Queens, the Black Princesses (U-20), and clubs such as Hasaacas Ladies and Simba Queens of Tanzania.
He currently leads Police Ladies, whom he guided to the 2025 WAFU Zone B Women’s CAF Champions League qualifiers.
Basigi will be supported by a seasoned backroom staff:
- Assistant Coach: Dora Zuta, former Black Queens defender
- Goalkeeper Coach: Isaac Amoako, ex-Asante Kotoko and Black Stars shot-stopper
- Athletic Coach: Aboagye Dacosta
- Equipment Officer: Memunatu Mumuni
- Welfare Manager: Princess Amoako
Medical Team
- Team Doctor: Dr Baah Christiana
- Team Masseur: Rabiatu Abubakar
- Physiotherapist: Gyamfuaa Amponsah
