Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Rabat to begin the final stretch of preparations for their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final against hosts Morocco.
The team delegation touched down in the Moroccan capital on Monday, with attention immediately turning to Wednesday night’s high-stakes encounter with the Atlas Lions, a match that carries both sporting and emotional weight.
In a sign of the importance attached to the tie, head coach Eric Chelle moved quickly to shut out distractions, ordering a closed training session on Monday evening. Media access was restricted as Nigeria’s technical team worked on tactical details away from the spotlight.
Sources close to the camp say the decision was taken to ensure total focus and unity, as the Super Eagles fine-tune their approach for one of the biggest matches of the tournament.
Nigeria are expected to conclude their preparations on Tuesday with another training session scheduled for 6:15pm at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, before final plans are set.
The semi-final will be played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, with kick-off at 9:00pm local time (21:00 GMT+1). With a place in the 2025 AFCON final on the line, both Nigeria and Morocco know that the margins will be fine and that the moment demands nothing less than total belief.
