A/R: Suspected killer of Uber driver at Feyiase arrested

The suspected killer of an Uber driver at Feyiase Akoyem in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region has been arrested.

According to the Ghana Police Service, the suspect, Rashid Ibrahim, initially gave an untenable alibi but later admitted to committing the crime.

The police explained the suspect led them to retrieve the machete which he allegedly used to behead the deceased at Feyiase New Site on Sunday, July 4, 2021.

“Suspect is in police custody pending arraignment before court”, police said.

The deceased Israel Agyei Manu, a headteacher of Rogel Montessori Basic School at Atonsu in Kumasi was found decapitated on Sunday, July 4, sparking fears among residents.

Israel, 33, until his death was also with online hailing service provider, Bolt.
