Double joy for Adekunle Gold and Simi as music power couple welcome twins

Celebrations are pouring in for Nigerian music stars Adekunle Gold and Simi following the arrival of their twins, a joyful milestone the couple confirmed earlier today via social media.
Adekunle Gold shared the heartwarming news on Snapchat, revealing that what began as a simple prayer for another child blossomed into an unexpected double blessing. Posting a photo of two baby outfits, the singer described the moment with gratitude and humour, captioning it: “Double Trouble.”
The announcement comes weeks after fans began connecting the dots over a possible pregnancy. Speculation intensified in late December 2025 after the release of Adekunle Gold’s music video My Love Is The Same, which featured Simi with a visible baby bump.
The video also included a tender appearance by their daughter, Adejare, further fuelling curiosity among fans.
The couple, who married in a private ceremony in January 2019, are already parents to Adejare — affectionately known as Deja — born in May 2020.
Her arrival famously inspired Simi’s hit song Duduke, which became an anthem for expectant mothers across the continent.
