Enock Atta Adjei, winger for Singida United and former player for Medeama SC, is optimistic about the quality of the current Medeama squad and believes they have the potential to reach the semi-finals in their maiden appearance in the CAF Champions League.

Medeama SC is set to face Al Ahly in a crucial Group B encounter at the Al Salam Stadium, marking their debut in the prestigious tournament.

Adjei, who played a key role in Medeama’s successes, including winning the 2015 FA Cup and participating in the group stages of the CAF Confederations Cup in 2016, expressed confidence in the abilities of his former team.

He encouraged the current squad to work extra hard, emphasizing their excellent player quality and the potential to qualify for the quarterfinals or even the semi-finals.

Medeama SC is placed in Group B alongside clubs such as Algeria’s CR Belouizdad and Young Africans from Tanzania.

The Ghanaian champions are aiming to make a strong impression in their first CAF Champions League campaign.

The team has already arrived in Cairo, preparing for the upcoming clash against Al Ahly.

The match is anticipated as a significant test for Medeama, and Adjei’s words reflect the belief in the team’s capabilities to make an impact on the continental stage.
