Legon Cities FC on Sunday gave their survival hopes a huge boost with a 2-0 win over Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League match day 26 game at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Royals despite all their wealth and abundance of talents have struggled all seasons but made light work of the Dormaa based side.

Legon Cities started the game in dominant fashion causing lots of problems for the away side but struggled to score.

Star boy Jonah Attuquaye finally opened the scoring in the 13th minute of the game before Black Stars defender Joseph Adjei added the second goal in the 57th minute of the game to win the match 2-0.

Aduana Stars came into the game in the second half but could not find the back of the net as the Legon Cities rearguard stood resolute.

The win means Legon Cities have now moved clear of the relegation zone and now lie 11th on the league table.
