I stopped ‘weed smoking’ A Plus from stealing fuel at Jubilee House – Abronye DC
The New Patriotic Party’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC has among other things claimed political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, widely known as A Plus is a chain weed smoker who was stealing fuel from the Jubilee House.
Abronye’s outburst comes after A Plus petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to investigate him after claiming ex-President John Dramani Mahama had been fingered by former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu in a corruption scandal involving the aversion of some 15 million dollars meant for the development of the Western Region after the discovery of oil in that area.
In the petition, APlus also asked that Abronye be investigated over claims that the former President, in an effort to thwart investigations into the alleged corruption scandal, had the police officer conducting the said investigations murdered.
“In a fragile democracy such as our beloved country, these sorts of allegations should not be allowed to foster. It, is, therefore, my hope that your good office will investigate these claims to establish their veracity: and if it turns out that the claims are without basis, further hope that your good office will institute criminal charges against Kwame Baffoe the publication of false news or offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace,” A Plus wrote in portions of his petition.
However, reacting to the petition in an interview, Abronye called out Kwame A Plus referring to the latter as a chain weed smoker who came out with the said petition after he had finished smoking marijuana and got hyper.
According to him, if Kwame A Plus was much worried about the happenings in the country, he should rather be concerned about the fuel he was siphoning from Jubilee House and petition the IGP to investigate him on that.
“I learned some weed smoker has also petitioned the IGP to investigate me for saying Mahama was involved in the embezzlement of some US$15 million. Did you know that if you had told Mahama about this petition, he would have stopped you since it’s dangerous? Because the issue is already under investigation,” said Abronye DC.
“I’m the one who went to the President and told him that my investigations have concluded that you’re taking free fuel from the Castle. I told the President that this is not what we promised Ghanaians so we must stop him, and the President gave me the green light. So in case, you don’t know, I’m telling you today, A Plus, you’re a thief,” he claimed.
He continued, “I’m daring you, if you’re a man enough, petition the IGP that I [Abronye] is claiming you used to take petrol from the Castle so he should investigate you. In what capacity should you be taking free fuel from the State? You all make noise in this country but you are thieves.”
“You claim your song ‘Aben Bo Bom’ is what brought NPP and Nana Addo to power in 2016, right? Why then are you not singing same for the CPP that has been in opposition since 1966 to come back to power?” He quizzed.
He took responsibility for the collapse of The People’s Project established by Kwame A Plus.
“A Plus where’s your TPP? You can’t compare yourself to me. I used only one day to collapse the party you claimed you were going to use to overpower the NPP,” he bragged.
Abronye added that he oftentimes does not respond to A Plus “because he is bitter”.
