Johnson Smith set to replace Akakpo Patron as assistant coach within the week

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have swifly acted with regard to the excruciating defeat suffered in Monastir Tunisia at the hands of Etoile Sportive du Sahel.

After the embarassing defeat to Etoile du Sahel in Monastir Tunisia, the talk was  that head coach Kjetil Zacchariassen may be sacked  but the axe fallen on assistant coach Akapkpo Patron set to be replaced by Karela’s Johson Smith.

This portal authoritavely reported on Saturday that the club’s head of administration and legal affairs, Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq had on Friday held a crunch meeting with the head coach of Karela Fc Johnson Smith at the club’s defacto headquarters Sports Hotel about a possible role as an assistant to beleagured Kjetil Zacchariassen.

The vastly experienced Johson Smith has had stints with Sekondi Hasaacas, Bibiani GoldStars, Eleven Wise Berekum Arsenals and helped Karela qualify to the premier league in 2017
This will be his second stint with the Kumasi based club which he served in the past in various capacities.
