Karela duo return home from Hungary trials
Karela United duo of Emmanuel Keyekeh and Diawise Taylor have touched down in Ghana after a three week trial in Hungary in the hope of securing contracts.
The pair have been pitting their weight at a yet to be identified club in Hungary for the past three weeks but it remains unclear their fate after the three week trial.
The highly rated duo were very instrumental for Karela during the Normalization Cup tournament with Taylor emerging as joint top scorer with Kotoko’s Abdul Fatau Safiu on 11 goals apiece.
Their performance catapulted the Anyinase based club to the finals of the NC special tournamnet tier one final where they lost to Kotoko on penalties.
Karela have been tight lipped about the success or otherwise of their trials more especially with the fate of football uncertain and no set date for the Ghana Premier League to begin.
The Anyinase based club since the passing of its owner and financier Chief David Cobbina Brigidi have resorted to mass transfer of players to survive coupled with the inactive in the local football scene.
