German side RB Leipzig are reportedly monitoring Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu ahead of the summer transfer window as the Bundesliga club looks to strengthen its attacking options for next season.

The 21-year-old Ghana international has emerged as one of the names under consideration at Leipzig, with the club expected to reshape parts of its squad amid uncertainty surrounding several attacking players.

Fatawu’s future has become a major talking point following Leicester City’s relegation to England’s third tier, a development that could trigger an exodus of key players during the summer transfer window.

Although the winger remains under contract at Leicester until 2029, reports suggest he is keen to continue playing at the highest level, with growing interest from clubs across Europe.

The Ghanaian enjoyed an impressive campaign despite Leicester’s difficult season, reportedly contributing nine goals and seven assists. His performances have further enhanced his reputation as one of Ghana’s brightest young attacking talents.

Fatawu has long been admired in German football circles. The winger had previously been close to joining Bayer Leverkusen before negotiations collapsed several years ago.

However, his standing within the Bundesliga remains strong, with scouts continuing to value his explosive pace, direct attacking style and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations.

Leipzig are now believed to be among the clubs seriously considering a move, with the Bundesliga side potentially offering the Ghana international a fresh opportunity to continue his development at the top level of European football.

A move to Germany could also prove significant for Ghana’s national team, with Fatawu viewed as a key part of the country’s next generation of attacking players.
